In the processing of optical components, should always wear powder free latex gloves or fingerstall rubber. The skin of dirt and oil will seriously pollute the optical element, make its performance decline.

Do not use any tools to operate optical elements, including tweezers.

For the purpose of protection, the optical elements should eventually be placed on the provided swab paper.

Do not place optical elements on a hard or rough surface. Infrared optical elements are easily scratched.

It is not to be cleaned or touched on the surface of the bare gold or copper.

All materials used to make infrared optical elements are fragile, whether they are single crystals or polycrystals, whether the grain is large or small. They are not as strong as glass, unable to withstand the operating procedures that are usually used for glass optical elements.

Because there are many problems when cleaning the optical elements of the mounting frames, it is recommended that you only use the cleaning procedures described here for the optical components that are not installed.
