Now, more than 70% sapphires in the market are used for LED substrates. In 2015, the scale of LED sapphire market in China was 1 billion 520 million yuan. Accordingly, the estimated market size of sapphire industry in China is 2 billion 170 million yuan in 2015.
Considering the application of sapphire to protect screen, if Apple can import sapphire protection screen into iPhone 8 in 2017, sapphire optical application needs will take off quickly. Not only has the opportunity to change the excess capacity in the market, but also causes a short supply in the short term for 2017-2018 years.
